Cookie Policy
Last reviewed: 25 May 2026.
DigitalWTN uses cookies and similar storage technologies (IndexedDB, localStorage) only where they are strictly necessary to make the app work. We do not use cookies for marketing, retargeting, or third-party analytics.
What we set
Authentication cookies (essential)
Our authentication provider, Clerk, sets session cookies on app.digitalwtn.co.uk so we can recognise you between requests. These are first-party, secure, and HTTP-only where possible. They are deleted when you sign out.
CSRF / security cookies (essential)
The app sets short-lived cookies for cross-site request forgery protection and CSP nonces. They are deleted when you close the browser.
Theme preference (functional)
If you toggle light / dark mode, your preference is stored in localStorage so the next page load remembers it. No personal data is involved.
Offline queue (essential)
When you create a WTN with no internet, the WTN is queued in IndexedDB on your device until the connection returns. This is local to your browser; nothing leaves your device until the sync completes successfully.
No tracking, no third-party advertising
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any equivalent. We do not share data with advertising networks.
How to control cookies
All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. Doing so will sign you out of DigitalWTN and may prevent the offline queue from working. We do not show a cookie banner because we only use cookies that are strictly necessary or explicitly chosen by you (the theme toggle).
Changes
If we add any non-essential cookies in the future (we do not plan to), we will introduce a consent banner before they are set.
